DAY 1 - ARRIVAL
You will be picked up at Shannon/Galway airport and brought to the town of Westport. Warm welcome and chance to settle in. You will be given your information pack and general itinerary for your week. We will meet you and talk you through the week, answering any questions you may have. Westport is a lively town with lots of restaurants and pubs where you can find live Irish music every evening.
DAY 2 – GOLF CASTLEBAR
A taxi will pick you up at your accommodation and you leave Westport today to play one of the three parkland courses. A possibility today is Castlebar Golf Course (Par 71: Length 5,394 yards), a journey of 25 minutes. This course was founded in 1910, not far from Westport. Recently redesigned and remodeled, Castlebar Golf Club offers a stern challenge to golfers of all abilities. With stunning background scenery, Castlebar Golf Club will provide the player not only with a great game of golf but also a most memorable walk with varying vistas to catch the eye. At a pre-arranged time after your round of golf, you will be brought back to Westport.
DAY 3 - GOLF BALLINROBE
After breakfast you will collected at your accommodation and again be brought to one of the three parkland courses to enjoy a days golfing. The possibility today is Ballinrobe Golf Course (Par 73: Length 6854 yards) a journey of about 45 minutes. Ballinrobe Golf Club is a true parkland course that has rapidly earned a reputation as one of the best parkland courses in the west of Ireland. Set in the old Cloon castle estate that dates back to 1238 Ballinrobe golf club opened in 1992. On the course, water hazards, mature and newly planted trees as well as very fine greens give the course it predominant character. Five par-5's complimented by four wonderful par-3's give the course instant appeals to those looking for variety in a round. At a pre-arranged time after your round of golf, you will be brought back to Westport where you can enjoy a nice evening in one of the many restaurants and pubs.
DAY 4 – GOLF ENNISCRONE
Today you will be trying your swing on an exceptionally beautiful links course at Enniscrone Golf Course (Par 73 – 6853 yards) a journey of about 1.5 hours. Once you step on to the first tee prepare yourself for the ultimate golf experience. Dramatic Dune lands, inspired design, superb greens and breathtaking views combine to make golf at Enniscrone an absolute delight. You will be collected from your accommodation in the morning and taken to Enniscrone in time for your tee-off. At a pre-arranged time in the evening, you will be collected at Enniscrone Golf Club and brought back to Westport where you will have an enjoyable evening.
DAY 5 - WESTPORT
You have a day away from the Golf Courses today and a chance to explore the local area of Westport. You can climb the majestic Croagh Patrick Ireland's Holy Mountain that dominates the area, take a boat trip from Roonagh Quay out to Clare Island, visit Westport House or simply spend the day taking it easy and enjoying the many shops and restaurants that Westport has to offer.
DAY 6 – GOLF WESTPORT
It will be up the fairways of Westport Golf Course today as you play a round on the course that is nearest to you. Located just 2 miles outside of Westport town, having left your luggage ready for collection, you will be picked up at your accommodation and brought to the Westport course. Westport Golf Course is an 18-hole championship Golf Course (Par 73: Length: 6,553 yards) set in 260 acres of rolling parkland on the shores of Clew Bay. It is situated in the shadow of Croagh Patrick, amidst some of the most breath taking scenery imaginable. The first six holes are relatively benign, but good parkland holes nonetheless but offers the chance to build a good score early on - but there is danger on each hole. You will be picked up in the evening at a pre-arranged time and brought to Clifden where you will be staying for the next two nights. Clifden often called the Capital of Connemara is located amidst the breathtaking mountain scenery and beautiful coastline of Ireland's western region known as Connemara. Clifden is a modern, self-sufficient, thriving town and popular tourist destination and you will get an opportunity this evening to enjoy the atmosphere of its pubs and restaurants.
DAY 7 – GOLF CONNEMARA
You will be collected from your accommodation and brought to your final day of golfing. Today is a real treat as you play on the Connemara Championship Golf Links (Par: 72: Length: 7,270 yards), located in Ballyconneely, in Galway's most westerly part of Connemara which is just 8 miles from Clifden and right on the verge of the Atlantic Ocean. It has a most spectacular setting with the Twelve Bens as a backdrop and the Atlantic Ocean close by. The Connemara Golf Course was opened in 1973 and the 18-hole championship course is of the highest quality offering a challenge as good as any golfer is likely to find anywhere. Its massive last 6 holes make par a challenge to achieve on this most challenging Atlantic links course. After a very satisfying day you will be picked up and returned to Clifden.
DAY 8 – DEPARTURE
Breakfast. You will be picked up at your accommodation at a pre-arranged time and brought to Shannon/Galway.
